These are an approximate guide. It is fine to go bigger as it gives more space for decoration!

Are the name paintings truly hand painted?

Yes — each name painting begins as an original watercolour, painted by hand in my Devon studio. I design every piece individually, rather than using templates.

What does “framed” include?

Your painting arrives fully framed and ready to hang. Frames are UK-made, in a choice of finishes such as white or natural wood, with a mount to complement the artwork.

Can I choose the colours or theme?

Of course. You can request colours to match your nursery, or choose from themes such as farm animals, woodland, jungle, seaside or flowers. I’m always happy to include personal touches.

Can you include pets or special details?

Yes — many customers like to include family pets, favourite animals, or small meaningful details within the letters. These can be gently woven into the design.

What size should I choose?

This depends on the length of the name.
As a guide:
• Up to 4 letters – 12 × 10 inches
• Up to 6 letters – 14 × 10 inches
• Up to 8 letters – 16 × 10 inches
• Longer names – 20 × 10 inches or larger layouts

I will always advise if a different size would suit your chosen name best.

Will I see the design before it is finished?

Yes — I often share progress photos as your painting develops. This allows you to feel involved and make small adjustments if needed before completion.

How long does it take to create a painting?

Each piece is painted to order, so please allow time for careful design and drying. Current timescales are 3-4 weeks, but do get in touch if you need something sooner.

Is this a good gift for a new baby or christening?

It is one of the most popular choices. A framed name painting is both a personal gift and a lasting keepsake — something to hang in the nursery and keep for years.

Is the artwork a print or original?

The design itself is created from original hand-painted artwork. Each personalised piece is individually composed for your order, ensuring no two are exactly the same.
