Personalised Two-Letter Initial Painting – Hand-Painted Watercolour
- A hand-painted watercolour initial picture featuring two letters, ideal for twins, siblings or children with double-barrelled names. An original personalised nursery gift, hand-painted in my Devon studio and available in two sizes.
- From £52.00
These personalised two-letter initial paintings are ideal for twins, siblings or children with double-barrelled names. Each picture features two initials decorated with my original watercolour illustrations, creating a unique piece of artwork for a child's bedroom or nursery.
Choose from a range of themes, including farm animals, woodland creatures, jungle animals, fairies and flowers, to suit their interests or nursery décor.
Each painting is individually hand-painted in my Devon studio, with the illustrations arranged around the letters to create a special keepsake. These original watercolour pictures make thoughtful gifts for new babies, twins, christenings and birthdays.
Two-letter initials are a lovely alternative to a traditional name picture, particularly for children with longer names or those sharing a bedroom.

Who are two-letter initial paintings suitable for?
Two-letter initial paintings are ideal for twins, siblings or children with double-barrelled names. They are also a lovely choice when you would like two initials together rather than a full name picture.
Is the artwork a print or an original painting?
Every initial is individually designed and painted by hand in watercolour and ink. It is not a print. Each one is a truly bespoke baby gift, created to order.
Is this a suitable personalised christening gift in the UK?
Yes, they make thoughtful personalised baby gifts for baby showers, new arrivals, christenings and birthdays. They are also a lovely choice for a nursery or child's bedroom.
Can I add the baby’s full name and christening date?
Yes. You may include the child’s name, birth date, christening date, or a short message beneath the initial, making it a unique baby keepsake.
What if I would like to see the design before it is sent?
Photographs can be provided during the painting process. If you feel it is not right before dispatch, a refund or repaint can be arranged. Your satisfaction is important.
How long does it take?
As each painting is created by hand, time is needed for careful composition and drying between layers. Current timescales are shown at the point of ordering, and updates are provided along the way. Usually it is between 3 and 4 weeks.
What if I change my mind?
If at the progress stage you feel the painting is not right for you, this can be discussed before it is sent. The aim is always for you to be completely happy with your finished piece.
Is an initial painting a more affordable option than a full name picture?
Yes. A personalised initial painting offers the same hand-painted quality and bespoke design as our full name pictures, but at a lower price point. It is a wonderful way to give a meaningful, unique baby gift or personalised christening gift while keeping within budget. For those wanting a larger, more elaborate artwork featuring every letter of the child’s name, our full name paintings are also available.
Where are the paintings created?
All paintings are designed and handpainted in Devon by Kate Garrett, using traditional watercolour techniques and quality materials.
Can you send the gift directly to the family?
Yes. Gift wrapping is available, and the painting can be sent directly to the recipient with a coordinating card if required.
